So along with muscle twitches and tremors Dystonia is friends with Insomnia. Last night every time I started to nod off I would suddenly jerk back into wakefulness. Now once or twice I would say is fine, but this was literally every time. I felt like I was going insane. This lovely show of involuntary movements happens frequently, but no matter how many nights it occurs I never get used to it. I was not alone in my torture though. There was a monster stalking my every movement. As I am laying in bed twitching under the covers next thing I know Winnie The Cat suddenly attacks my jerking limbs. The Cat is about 9 months old and loves eating anything that moves suddenly. Towards the start of the night I usually attempt to fight her off, but she is persistent. Around 3:00 am I am usually too tired or have just generally given up. This is her favorite time. Winnie can gnaw on my hand to her heart's content. This little monster isn't all bad though. Why would I be happy about being eaten? Well when you're alone having your body fight against you just calmly laying there can be upsetting. Having Winnie there at least distracts me from being angry with my body. Sometimes its even fun. Like when she misjudges the distance between my hand and the edge of the bed and goes toppling off. Yes, she is annoying, but I love my little demon. This hungry little monster keeps me company during the night. I wouldn't trade her for anything. Thanks for reading! Bye!
